Research Paper (Published)

Collaborated with a Senior Economist from the International Monetary Fund on a self-initiated research project. I explored the effects of artificial intelligence, automation, and technological advancements on labor markets historically and presently, with a specific focus on their contribution to economic inequality. Economics, History & Technology Research Paper: The Impact of Historical and Ongoing Technological Advances on Economic Inequality

My research paper investigates the intricate relationship between recent technological innovations and the growing divide in economic inequality. As we've seen the digital economy expand, areas such as automation and AI have notably changed job landscapes and wealth distribution. However, while these advancements have led to significant efficiency gains, they've also resulted in benefits that aren't equally shared across society. This has, in turn, intensified economic disparities both within countries and on a global scale.

In this 19-page research paper, the works of 28 different sources have been cited. Notably:

  • David Autor, a leading economist known for his insights on the labor market implications of technological change.

  • David Rotman, a noted journalist and editor, recognized for his analyses on how technology influences society.

  • Gregory Clark, a distinguished economic historian, who has explored the long-term patterns of economic inequality and mobility.

Publication Process

The process for the paper's publication was meticulous, involving a comprehensive peer review by an editorial team. This entailed waiting intervals for submission, acceptance, and subsequent publication.

Below I have outlined the 3 main steps.
